The vacuum system enables the remodeling of the existing floor plan. Closure time of the store during the refurbishment was greatly reduced, as no new underground condensate drainage lines were required.
The Evac solution enabled a new floor structure to be floated without any boxing out for drainage stubs. Thanks to the flexibility of the Evac drainage system the store plan could be altered even though the store construction work had already been started. This is because the cabinets were not fixed to any predetermined drain points.
The flexibility of the Evac drainage system made it also possible to route the main drainage lines in the ceiling above the sales floor, and this could be carried out overnight. The new refrigeration cabinets were also installed at night, and plugged into the vacuum drainage main. Thanks to this the store could stay open during the refurbishment. Additionally, no costly excavation of the shop floor was required.
